Unlike a published book, this app allows users to simply touch any Greek word to see its English translation, or vice versa. Additionally, users can touch the word again to view all the possible Greek meanings, with the correct one(s) highlighted in context. With ScriptureDirect, users can browse through all the meanings without needing to read or pronounce Greek.
The Greek meanings provided in this app are sourced from the modern and scholarly New Testament Greek-English Lexicon based on Semantic Domains, published by the United Bible Societies. These meanings are categorized into 93 domains or groups, offering an accurate and precise meaning analysis. The main editor of this dictionary, Prof Johannes Louw, was also the main translator of the ScriptureDirect Interlinear Translation, with assistance from Dr Bennie Wolvaardt, Founding President of Veritas College International.
